This was indeed a nice wine. Given my (very pregnant) condition I haven't been drinking much, what I have had more recently has been not-very-nice Australian Shiraz that is very heavy, almost feels like it leaves a lining on my tongue. This one was quite a contrast, tasty and robust but lacking that nasty heaviness. Was a nice accompaniment to the meal, too.
