Many thanks for your comment, Flemming. It has been a while since I have last been to Koblenz. My grandparents used to live in the region, and yet my wine loving grandfather always insisted drinking French wine. But then he was a red wine drinker and twenty or thirty years ago the choice of German red was not what it is today. When you next are in Koblenz and haven't visited them, try Heymann-Löwenstein in Winningen for some extraordinary Riesling!
