I arrived in Hungary on Monday with my fiancee on holiday and to visit with her family. We have been tasting various wines here: We tried a Villanyi Cuvee a wonderful blend of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Kekfrankos and Portugieser. On the nose you get dark plums, sour cherries and black and blue berries. On the palate dry, nice tannins, good acidity and a medium finish.
We are going to try an Irasi Olivier today and go to Hajos tomorrow, so lots of good wine still to look forward to. I will post more about other wines I try here.
